today i pulled a guy out of the ditch and my truck sputtered a couple times then when i tried to rev it up it just revs up like normel to 3k then it will cut out like the truck dies till it falls below 3k again and just stay right on 3k like its the rev limiter. if you slowly get into the peddle it will rev right up to 5500 but if you put it to the floor at 5500 it will cut out and fall to 3k and just stay there. when you are driving normal you cant even tell it runs bad beside a few spudders every once in a great while. but if you try to get into the peddle at all it will just fall on its face and spudder right at 3k. its a 5 speed in an 2000 f250. we just changed all the coils and i had a plugged cat after 280k miles so i just cut it off. and am now just running my flowmaster super 10 so i was told not having enough back pressure could have done some damage. let me know what you guys think. thanks.

sounds like a fuel problem to. pump could be getting weak and cant keep up with the demand when you get to those higher rpms. or a clogged fuel filter

my buddy says we can check the fuel pressure. do you know what it should be at the rails?
