ABS Firing Randomly
So I've had an issue with my truck which so far I've been ignoring, but with winter coming, I want to get it resolved.
Starting about 2 months ago my ABS would activate when there was no need for it. Just moving around a dry parking lot it would go off and scare the crap out of me. As a short term solution I've pulled the fuse, but I would like to fix it properly.
Where should I start looking?

Is it on constant now of still just coming on and off? Take it to a shop that has an ABS reader and they should be able to tell you what sensor it is if that is the problem.

My 98 does that, it started when leaving the parking garage at work. Steep down hill with hard right at the bottom approaching the gate, made the turn and the abs activated approaching the gate. Scared the crap out of me as I had never had a vehicle with ABS before. Didn't do it all the time and then it did it pulling into a parking space and I ran over the curb. The ABS light would come on intermittently then go off. I tried replacing the left front sensor and it just got worse. Finally I pulled the fuse as it was getting dangerous. Been driving without the fuse or ABS for a couple of years now.

I had a gear on an axle shaft crack (on my car), and it caused the same symptoms. I would bring it in and have it looked at.

The ABS light was never on before I pulled the fuse, it has been ever since though. Would there be any codes to read even if the light wasnt on?
Given I don't have drum brakes, I dont think I have a drum full of gear oil causing my problem.
The only thing I can think of is that my truck had a stuck caliper which I replaced a couple months ago, any chance the problem is related?
