ABS Acting Up

ABS Acting Up
To all you guru's out there that have been able to help in the past, her i am with another what i am starting to think is a pretty serious (hopefully not expencive) problem.
My '99 f-150 4X4 has ABS and has been stuttering alot while even slowly breaking. i will be driving down the highway and when i start slowing down the whole truck starts shaking up and down. i believed it to be maybe a warped rotor but the other day i drove it for an hour or so with a good amount of Heavy stopping and now the shaking stopped but the ABS light in my cab is lit.
breaking now is back to normal about half the time i drive and the other half my truck shakes like the ABS is activating even with real light braking.
my light has only come on twice witch makes me think its only a wireing issue (hopefully not, i am not good with wirechasing).
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
