Default Transmision and axel strength

I was thinking about getting a Supercharger to add to my 2001 Supercrew. But before I did I wanted to know how strong the rear ends and the transmisions were, and if they could handle the extra HP and Torque?

If you have a 4R70W trans they tend to go quick after 300hp. The 4R100 is the way to go. As for the rear ends the 8.8s do ok and the 9.75s do alot better.

Was the 4R100 an option for our Trucks? mine is an 02, and I have never checked to see what tranny it has. never had a problem.

The 4R100 came in a few 99-01s but very rare. It is standard in the Lightning.
The trans code for the 4R100 is "E" and "U" for the 4R70W.
