Default 97 f150 4.6 problems

I've got a 97 f-150. Just had a motor put in it. It'll idle for a few minutes then die, then when you go to put it in gear, it dies and you have to hold the gas and brake down or it will idle all the way down and shut off. Anyone know what's wrong with it? Idle sensor?

I have no idea. Now it's running better, in park and neutral only. It idles fine. Around 1000 rmps..... But when you put in reverse, or 1st through over drive, it idles down to about 400 and either dies or sits and goes up and down. And does the same thing if you come to a stop

sound like a fuel/air/vacuum type problem I'm betting a vacuum leak had developed (line came off, had hole in it,...)

I think fuel pump, fuel filter or injectors.

I'm changing out fuel filter and I've been running sea-foam the past two tanks. It's running a lot better. Thanks for everyone's input
