hey guys, im the proud owner of a new f150. 08 stx. well today i was driving down the road and saw an 03 svt lightning. It had 50,000 miles on it but was absolutely flawless. I test drove it, it ran perfect. It was the right color and now i am trying to refrain myself from buying it. My question is, are there any common problems with these trucks, anything at all i should have checked out before buying. I see some pretty high mileage 97's to 03's. are the lightnings a smart buy or are they generally more problematic being so tweaked up. How do the transmissions hold up with the extra hp. also 18,900 sounds kinda high for a five year old truck. Please bring me to my senses, would it be a good buy?

the L gets the 4R100. all it really needs is the line valve mod and its good to go.
