Default 97 5.4l procharger

Hello everyone,

I worked on a project last year for my fiance its a 97 f-250 ld with the 5.4 I bought the truck 6 years ago and drove of till I bought my 2010. I rebuilt the engine (stock replacement) added shorty headers into true duals out the side and added a procharger. I didn't know if anyone else on here has done it but I'm not real happy with the way it runs. It runs great 5-10 psi boost but the rest of the time it seems short on power any help would be great.

I'm trying to find someone to tune it w/o running a larger MAF sensor, removing the fuel management unit (came with procharger kit) and running larger injectors. The kit is supposed to be complete

You just answered your own question... First of all you need all those things, Secondly your computers running a stock tune...

getting 1/2 maybe 3/4 throttle (pulls strong)then it's kinda falling on it's face past that? Thats because your computers pulling timming from your MAF pegging<- just a hunch

+1000 without the fuel, accurate MAF, and a tune your just asking to buy another motor.

Procharger, No

But I have had a supercharged truck for the past 10 years, I know how a boosted vehicle works.

You need bigger injectors if your still on the stock 19lb'ers, get you a stock lightning MAF. Also a TUNE! Then you may enjoy it alittle better
