Let me think about it. I know there are flasher kits you can buy for the high mount stop lights, but I also know it wouldn't be hard to do it yourself, probably cheaper than a kit.
As far as the turn signal thing, I'll definitely have to wait until I get my bed lighting done if I decide to do that.
I'm tossing it around...I think it would be different and kind of cool, but then again, the cargo lights are pretty close together on that assembly. Hell, I don't know, lol. This is what happens when I spend more time on this site than doing my work!

But I do appreciate the offer, and if I decide to try it, I'll PM you!

Yeah, I'm thinking of just using some wire and a few diodes. I like figuring out things like this, so it'll be fun for me if you do decide to do it! I just renewed my supporter subscription for another year, so I ain't goin' anywhere any time soon!

Exactly. Some wire and diodes aren't exactly expensive.

Already have an idea on how I would do it, so I'm ready whenever.

Maybe it's a dumb idea, but curious, nonetheless.
You would need to change the color if you did that though. Flashing white (or solid white if not in reverse) is a big no-no in every state.
I guess you could get some red LED's and do it that way.

You know what I may do? I may find a completely clear housing and install three red LEDs in each socket. Then, I'd like all three to come on with the brakes, but when I hit the turn signal, I'd like the appropriate side to blink. So if I were turning left and hit the brakes, the center and right bulbs would burn solid while the left bulb blinks. The center bulb would only illuminate solid, and only when the brake is pressed. The outside bulbs would illuminate solid with the brakes, unless the respective signal is activated, then the appropriate bulb would flash. I wouldn't want them wired to the park light circuit, so the combo bulb issue wouldn't be a factor, correct?

I don't mind running new wire, either. Then I could use the factory cargo wiring to supply power to my under-rail bed lighting, since I wouldn't need it anymore. I'd leave everything so that I could reverse it if I sell the truck.

Yeah, I though about this, as well. At first, I thought amber bulbs in the high mount, but that would look odd since the factory tails are red.
That reminds me, there is a F15DY BOY that has police strobes (red and blue) in the grill of his truck. Can't wait to see his post about getting a ticket for them, lol.

I actually typed out red or yellow LED, but then I thought the same thing, red tails with yellow up top would not look right.

Yeah, though it really doesn't matter with an LED. Anyway, that is real simple. With that in mind, all you'd have to do is run wire; no diodes needed.
