And my second question is how hard is it to remove the door panel on an XLT?
Knowing you have the passenger side light. Its most likely behind the door panel. I unfortunately had to wire in my own. But damn those suckers are bright.

Lift up on the panel and it comes right off

You may have to give it a good hard pull the first time, might be a little stuck

Yeah I don't think its ever been taken off. I had to use a flat edge for some help but it popped off. Its worth it for the more modern lights though haha most cars have leds inside these days so when all of us are doing this its making our gen trucks look a lot better

Yeah, it really is. I dont think your LEDs in the door will be as bright as mine, but i do have a couple of pics if you want to see them.

Yeah that would be good man. I saw browningscrew and mtz's pics already but more can def help. I got the 194 LED Bulb 15 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower*led's in cool white coloring.

I know other people got 194 with 5 SMD but I'm out at night a lot so I went with something brighter

Nope. I didnt have door lights, so I put them in myself. But I took a different approach... It was a permanent LED, so IF it ever burns out, I have to buy a new set. I payed like $13 for both, $9 for 3 rolls of 22 gauge wire, and about $3-$4 for the splicers. Here is a pic on how big these things are....

They are meant for License plate lights, but they are Non-DOT approved. So, I used them for door lights. Damn I love the brightness of these things. You can even see how much it lights up the ground and truck...

So as i was solving the issue of my disappearing courtesy lights into the door, I finished replacing the passenger side one with the LED and when i went to te drivers side i had two problems. First, I could not remove the door panel to retrieve the light from inside my door because of my spotlight. Secondly, No matter what i did, i could not rip out the plastic housing to try and get the light that way. Should I just cut the out of the plastic housing or what should i do?
