Default 97-03 f150 body and bed on a 97-03 f350 frame and powertrain

A good buddy that has been listening for a long time brought up a good point instead of me trying to turn my f150 into a 350 it might be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to mount my f150 cab and bed on a f350 I think they use the same frame for F150,f250,f350 as long as it's the same generation truck theoretically would this work?

Do tell me how this looks like the same frame... It's a solid axle not an IFS setup like your F150. The 97 F-150 was entirely different inside and out than the Heavy Duty version. 97-03 f150 body and bed on a 97-03 f350 frame and powertrain-image-808824925.jpg

Just buy an F-350 with the 7.3L diesel in it. If you want to dump money into your truck to gain power, stick a V-10 in it.

What do you mean browning. They both have 4 tires, 2 headlights and a steering wheel. They're basically the same truck as far as I can tell. They're both even named Ford, how much similar can they get?

well to be honest I don't know much about it I know that we have an ifs and the 250s and 350s have a solid front axle but I thought the frames were similar maybe I was wrong. But that what's I thought this forum was for, to share our knowledge as a whole. I didn't want to change any axels or power train or anything like that was just wondering if our cab and truck could be bolted on to the 250 or 350

I don't think you can without major modification. I know the bodies of those trucks are wider, I don't know about the frames though.

Not easily but anything is possible. You'd be the first to my knowledge.

If you need a 350, why not ditch yours and buy one instead? Or if you want it stronger but same style, look for a light duty 250.

The 6.8 isn't worth the hassle
