7-Pin Plug for Trailer

You can get a harness that plugs in the truck harness Un plug the plug by the spare tire and it goes in-between.

It’ll be there. No splicing necessary. I put a factory 4/7-pin off EBay last year and the plug was tucked close to the spare.

Tell you what, though...those 4/7s used to go for about $40-$60 a pop, now they’re about $120!

On my 99 xl I would need the one that plugs inline with the bed harness. But all of the fuses and relays are in the box under the hood.

That $120 sounds about right. I've replaced my 4/7 harness a couple of times over the years. If RVT1KR comes back that the plug is there for the harness I'll dig up the part number.

Before I do is there a second plug above the bumper that is connect to the harness going up to the driver side tail light?

you hook into the main, not the right side distribution plug.

Ok. The one that I have on my 2001 with a 4/7 harness has both. Don't want to give a part number that is for my truck when he doesn't have both. The second plug is on the left, driver's side on my truck.
