we my list of things to get done, before camping season starts, is getting shorter. I removed the Ford boxliner only to discover a virgin box. It killed me to poke a hole in it . I installed the 5th wheel hitch, tailgate (painted the outter top edge) and the brake controller. Installed the towing relay and fuses. (this means the 7700 never pulled anything to heavy woohoo).

is that an 1/2 ton truck and did u use the braces under the truck

 

yes it is the F150 but the 7700 series.

The 5th wheel rails are bolted to brackets, and the brakets to the frame. This hitch was in my other 7700 but the truck is miled out as some may know here.

nice looking rig im looking for an 5th wheel. i got an hitch for 150$ about an year ago did not have the brackets for under the truck so i made some and welded them to the frame

yeah, the hitch was bought new in 2003, double pivot kinda, when we bought the 5th wheel. Wanted to get the pull-rite, but waaay tooo much money. I sure miss my dually though, I had a 2000 F350 Supercab Diesel dually 4X4 with the 4.10's, man that truck hauled great,..I'll see if I can dig up a picture..........
