5.4L 2002 with 113000 miles noise
 

I have a question on motor noise it seems to tick/kick a little. Rpms does not matter it is still there. I hear it more when motor is cold. Thank you for your input.

Have the plugs been changed? Could be one backing out.

that's my guess. My 4.6 started ticking just before it blew out a plug and killed the coil pack.

Plugs have been done about 7000 miles ago

One of them didn't get threaded all the way. It's about to blow.

All 8 are in all the way I made sure of that.

most likely leaky exhaust manifolds. Check for broken manifold bolts or soot & carbon buildup near the exhaust manifolds. Very common issue on these trucks.

Exhaust leaks/ manifolds are fixed. I had broken studs. And leaks. Now all fixed.
