Default 5.4 Triton & the Ike Gauntlet

How would our trucks in healthy shape do with a full load on the Ike Gauntlet?

They would suck
Most vehicles suck going uphill at 11000 ft, not towing anything.

I crested a pass once in a 3.5 v6 suv, 11500 ft, 35 mph, engine racing. Pedal to floor.

It was reminiscent of a 4 cyl 2.2 L ranger pickup and a big bridge all over again. Those were the days....not. had to hit a big bridge at 55, was going 35 by time I got to top. At sea level. Had that truck in foothills once. Swore off 4 cyl engines forever.

You understood that? All that came to mind here was that Clint Eastwood movie.

The Ike Gauntlet is apparently referring to the Eisenhower tunnel in Colorado.
It is apparently a way that a man with size issues can prove himself a real man to other insecure men by buying a truck that he can't afford and does not need, then drops another $20,000 in accessories to give his e-peen some girth to that length and then starts towing a bunch huge unneeded of crap through the tunnel.
Now that is not phallic at all. Let me drive my big load into a dark, slippery, cold tunnel and hope I can make it, with a bunch of other guys watching live and on TV.

My truck would rock it. I would be king of the hill. I would tell them all to line up and put them on the table, then proceed to smash them with a hammer for being dumb enough to pull them out on a table covered in superglue.

I'd hook a chain up to the Ike Gauntlet and pull it around. Truck Norris can pull mountains, and all I've got is a 4.6 with a 3.55 gear.

TFLTruck does an Ike Gauntlet test "toughest tow test in the world". They try to make it sound scientific (like most their videos) but its far from. Take it for entertainment purposes only and you'll like their videos much more lol
