so we removed the oil pan....engine is stuck in position in which we can't move it and get to the bolts behind it??????

We are trying to replace it. We can't get the engine unlocked to get to the bolts that hold the torque converter on. Any ideas?

If it were me I'd pull it still attached to the flex plate just leaving a few inches for the bell housing lip to clear. I also would have gone about it a completely different way right off the rip.
