Will a 03 5.4 work in my 99 F-150? My motor has just about to give up and I have found a low milege expedition and I need to know if I am going to have any problems with the swap

 

Does you truck currently have the 5.4?

 

Yes it has a 5.4 in it now

 

It should work fine then, I don't think there were any major changes in the motors between the years. Anybody else correct me if I'm wrong.

 

It will swap over fine, how about hookin me up with the old motor!!!!

 

I'm pretty sure that's right. 99-03 is exactly the same if I'm not mistaken.

 

I will let you know when I get the motors swapped out

 

funny thing when i had my black 99 ex cab 4x4 flareside i bought it for 1200 with rod knock... www.car-part.com got a used motor in for $800 and it was out of an 03 lol have fun with it if your doing it yourself... it suck for me... pull the manifold unbolt tranny pull motor ugh! so expensive by the time your done
