Yeah just take it somewhere and get some opinions. I took mine to a muffler shop to rule out exhaust. Sucks driving a ticking time bomb lol.

Make sure your coils are seated right when you put them back on the plugs, i didnt seat one all the way on mine one time and it made a heck of a ticking noise! Other than that, these trucks (or should i say engines) are notorious for having noisy valvetrains.
