Default programmer for my truck

Alright hi and thanks I just purchased a 1998 f150, with a 6"lift and 35's

he gave me a hypertech programmer for it its for a 96-99. Now heres the hard part

the frame, engine, and transmission are all from a 98, so is the bed and the front end, now the cab is from a 95 he said but it doesnt look like the previous style it still looks like just a 98 f150, when I go to use the programmer it says error?

If the programmer was used on another vehicle it will not work on your truck unless the programmer has been "unlocked" from the previous vehicle. I don't think the programmer you have has been unlocked.

You are going to have to post a pic of this multi generational model body. Is the interior of the cab a 95 or a 98?

Contact the dealer for this issue and ask for replacement. If that program is not running its better to exchange it with a proper one.And check your exchanged programmer when you get it.
