5.4 buzzing noise
My 5.4 is making this weird buzzing noise at idle. It almost sounds like a a piece of short plastic stuck in a bike spoke. It's coming from the passenger side of the engine. I took a video but it is still pending on the you tube upload so I will post the link as soon as it's approved. I don't really feel any Power loss, but the buzzing as been there since I bought the truck so I might have lost power and not know it. I an getting crazy mpg tho. Thanks for the help

That's from the wrong PCV valve. Have to run the Motorcraft PCV. Motorcraft are the only PCV's that have the correct margins.
Others can cause premature engine death, they have to breath lol.

It's a ticking something and yea, that sounds serious. You can just stethoscope it, but I'd just yank the the PCV out in in order to determine, - takes all of 2 seconds, - no tools required.
Almost sound like something came loose or broke internally, -Timing chain guard, follower or other.
Make sure your plugs are tight on that side as well.
You can also pull the serp belt then start it, - too make sure it's not a pulley.
Should be fairly simple to narrow down or make a better determination.
