yeah that seems like it could end badly if something were to go wrong or something unexpected happened. what's your current setup? I'm guessing either PI heads of some variety and flat top Pistons??

The max CR i've heard of on a built lightning motor was about 10:1. 11 might be a stretch but id probably deffer to an expert. I'm under the assumption that it'd need racing fuel once you hit over 10:1. I suppose you could always toss in a thicker head gasket to drop your CR a little too?!

Custom Mahle Flat tops with Valve reliefs. Using Fox Lake Ported PI heads.

You could hog out the bowls on the heads for lower compression and more CFM. With a thicker head gasket you might be able take it down enough but I don't really know

Bowls have already been worked on. They are already 51cc. Anymore and it will kill the quench areas

I forgot to post a while ago. But the truck did drive across the country fine. Much better than expected. The gross weight of my car is about 4,000lb, uhual trailer weighs 2200lbs empty and then i literally packed everything i own in both vehicles. There was no trunk space, seats or bed space to spare! You can see how bad it squat down in the back and how low the front of the trailer was to the ground.

The truck rarely had to shift out of O/D, but the braking down the Appalachian mountains was very sketch. Literally all 4 pads were bellowing smoke! Had to pull over!

Both rigs at the new home!

Looks like a nice new home. Glad the truck made it with no problems.

I'll keep on updating this thread until the truck dies... 180k and still going.

Absolutely punished the truck the last week and moved 4 loads of crushed granite. Figured 1.2 tons in the bed per load

Planning on keeping this thing forever, it's the ultimate tow pig!!! Now evreyone go blower swap and show the new pickup truck owners how its done
