Back in business for now. Yeah the differential breather hose been broken off of that connector for years. 7/64 id windshield washer tubing is a snug fit. Even if you wet it you can only shove it on there about an inch or so using all your effort

Oh yea that'll get burned like that lol. That vacuum harness should be pinned to the inner wheel well plastic just before the frame. Then run along the inside of the frame straight down to the actuator. Also, the front axle breather runs with it.

Looks like you got it fixed though.

Yeah it ran down the frame, there's a fastener on the frame right by the compressor that encourages it to run down by the exhaust manifold. I probably twisted it when I was moving it and made it shift positions. There's plenty of length I don't know why they didnt route it farther away from the exhaust kind of toward the front of the engine. I have it zip tied well away now...to other things.

I usually just cut out the bad plastic and repair it with a section of 3/32 vacuum hose
The hoses that go into the RF inner panel and canister break and deteriorate all the time

Exactly, mine eventually became brittle with time, as fragile as glass in spots.

Cutting the melted part out with a pair of scissors, I was surprised it just how tough and non brittle the tubing around that damage area was

They usually crack and fall apart between the battery and firewall...in that area for some reason. Heat might nest in there during the drvecycle or something.

Amazon has all the line, repair boots and splices for that harness btw...just seen it a couple days ago, didn't save it though.

That would have been nice. I got some nylon tubing the right size should be able to get the old boots off and glue the new tubing in there if it comes to that one day.... If it doesn't work I will look on Amazon
