Default Hid questions

So I am interested in getting a set of hids for my truck. I'm looking at 6000k lights at 35 watts. I'm wondering what brand to get and where to get them. Also will I be able to make them flash. I am going to be setting up my fogs and headlights to be flashing in an X pattern, but I heard that having them flash isn't a good idea. Any opinions or thoughts would be great.

Thanks

www.theretrofitsource.com tell them Kyle sent you. Definitely more expensive than some cheap eBay or DDM kit but well worth the price !! No flashing will kill your HID's ... Get a strobe kit and install it when you retrofit projectors into your buckets like I did

Get them from DDM, my Ebay ones which I have bought for years flicker with my truck and even a relay harness didnt stop this, they are xentec. They have always work in the past just not with this truck. DDM has great kits. Cant go wrong with them.

That is called a wig-wag and I doubt it works with HIDs, don't HIDs take a few seconds to turn on once you turn them off? So the wig-wag would just look like your lights are spaz'ing out, I could be wrong though, but that is my understanding of how HIDs and a wig-wag works.

That is what I thought too, but I read somewhere that this can be done, so I was curious. I have the wig wag kit already but it is not installed yet.

They guys @ TRS (the retrofit source) will help you decide the best projector/ harness / bulbs / ballast /etc for your application !! As for the "wig-wag" on hids .. I dont think this will work ..as HID's have a warm up / cool down period ?.. I retrofitted the mini H1 kit into my 2012 headlights !!!
