Angry 4WD problems in 03

The truck:
2003 Ford F150
V6 4.2 liter
Automatic transmission
Regular cab

The problem is that when i try to engage the 4WD. It sound like the transfer case engages but the front axle does not. Can anyone help with this problem??

Double check your solenoids vacuum Lines and vaccuum actuator. If all of those things are good then it could be you front diff clutch fork that locks the front axle in. It's right inside the diff. I just changed mine last week

I had the same problem with my 2002. One of my vacuum lines came off the solenoid. Easy fix.

I didnt find out until I buried it in a mud hole though. Got towed out by a Chevy. FAIL.
