I ran a Factory Tech Shift Plate in my 03 ad LOVED it.
It was only like $75-100. Reason it's cheap is that it's not the complete VB. It's just a redesigned plate with gaskets with springs and little *****.
You remove the VB, disassemble, remove stock plate, install new Factory Tech plate and reinstall in the truck.
Had 100K HARD miles turning 38" tires and 30k of the 100K had a Lightning motor pushing it. Never missed a beat, trucks got somewhere around 120-130K miles now and still going strong. I also bypassed the tranny lines going to the radiator and installed a Factory Tech Tranny Cooler with a 8" Fan. Never seen over 180* even while towing in bumper to bumper traffic in August.
Key to keeping trannys alive is to keep them cool and clean.

Is this what your looking for?
Valve-Body Inspection Reaming for Repair
Most Transmission Failure is caused by a leaking Oil Cooler in the Radiator allowing coolant to leak in the tranny. Only a Gasket is separating Coolant from ATF in a Stock Radiator. Bypassing the Radiator is not a good idea especially if your living in a cold climate.

Wouldn't know where to start looking for one.
I'm pretty sure I have my box still I can get the part number off of it to do a more refined search.

Not a good idea.. Once the Accumulator Bore got damage the Tranny Case will be a junk. The Tranny Fail Safe system could damage the Engine to prevent a total tranny failure..
