Default 4r100 Transmission Slipping, NO CODES!

Not sure if I've asked this question before but how could a 4r100 transmission in a 5.4l F150 have slipping problems without generating computer codes? My 92 5.0 Mustang generated codes if I shut the door to hard, not true but it generated codes frequently. I've never seen a code flash on the F150 but the transmission is about to go out. How can that be?

It can slip an not throw a code. Time for a rebuild.

Default Overdrive off light

Is your overdrive off light flashing after a short drive? Mine does, but it's getting a new trans soon.

Does not flash but when I first got the truck the OD "OFF" light didn't work at all, checked the fuse and it was burn. Thinking I just solved my transmission problems by replacing a fuse, lol I hit the highway with great anticipation but it wasn't the fuse. Lol, still have internal transmission problems. Can't ever be something simple and cheap like a fuse, well not with me anyways!

Cool! My O/D off light was flashing because I knew I had internal transmission problems (it doesn't always go into reverse, and its violent 1st to 2nd gear,) and its getting fixed now.
