No idea what that guy did.

inside the shift motor assembly , the motor drives a worm gear, that turns a spur gear, that the transfer shaft fits into. It has to rotate that shaft to a defined position. It runs until position feedback in the shift motor gear tells it its there.

So I made some headway. I pulled the shift motor out and manually engaged the front driveshaft. So now I am manually connected in the front and rear. 4 wheel is working great. I think if I get a new motor and leave the front manually engaged, I should be able to shift in and out on the fly once again. Thoughts?
