I thought the 4.2 had a 95 or 98 mph speed limiter but I could be wrong. I sure would love to see 4.2 do 105 mph without a 1 mile straight away and a heavy tail wind. On a 97 ther is only 10 hp and 15 ft-lbs. of torque difference between the 4.2 and 4.6. The 5.4 makes 70 ft-lbs more torque than the 4.6 and it does it at 3,000 rpm's. 1,000rpm's lower than the 4.2 or 4.6. and thats what make the 4.6 a dog. Everyone wishs then had a V-8 and those who do wish they had a 5.4

true, i wasnt expecting the power of a 5.4 but i was expecting it to pull its own weight on the highway..literally.

Yea there are times when I'm screaming GO! GO! GO! in my 4.6 I've got all the mods you can bolt on one. I want forced induction so bad. It actually goes pretty fast and I can go past the 120 mark, but still. I drove my dad's 250 with the works and it blows mine away. Idk, maybe I'm just used to my old 87 with a BOSS 302 (with the works of course) in it. It had a manual tranny and I could chirp my 35's in 4th going about 60. No lie. 1st gear would boil the tires with ease...

what's in that 67? 360 or 390? The 67-72 body style are the best looking trucks ever built.

its got a 352 in it. the 360 and 390 werent offered in trucks until 68. I love that FE, drove it across country with about 5000 lbs in tow and another 1500 in the bed and never had a problem. only had to drop to third on loveland pass in colorado and deadman pass in oregon.

My 4.2 has a speed limiter at 98, but I can hit it in 4th gear runnin 4k rpms. Without the limiter, 110 would be easy

Would the o2 sensor still be bad even though it did not give any codes? I was thinking my 4.6 o2 sensor was bad too because of a loss of power/mpg but it did not give me any codes so I figured it was fine.
