4.6l to 302 carbed swap?!
Hey guys...so i need some help/advise, i have a 1998 F150 4x4 5 speed with a 4.6l. It has had several electrial problems. i want to swap a carbed 302 into to get rid of all the electronically controlled engine stuff. will a 302 bolt up to the 5 speed manual trans in the truck? has anyone done it before?

No this will not work. Your 4.6 is a modular engine and the 5.0 is the older ford small block. Bell housing is different. The 4.2 v6 however does share bell housings with the 5.0. Why change a 4.6 for a 5.0 anyway your going to loose quite a bit of power.

I was sitting at a red light one day. reeved the engine up...the engine shut off...we pushed it through the intersection to the gas station...hooked up the computer to it and we couldnt get the PCM to get power. so we replaced all the fuses and relays...still nothing. so we replaced the fuseable wire links. got power to pcm, but no spark. we replaced all the sensors (crank and cam) and ignition packs, nothing, so we replaced the plugs and wires, nothing, replaced the wire harness under the hood, still nothing...so we are at a dead end. we cannot figure out what is wrong with it. it is not throwing any codes, and everything works...except that it is not getting spark...
