Default 4.6 engine rebuild question, thrust bearings

I tore this engine apart a while back and just recently installed the crank and torqued the main caps down. After torquing everything down, I touched the main cap thrust bearing to make sure it was seated (felt tight), then proceeded to rotate the crank. After moving the crank, I again check the main cap thrust bearing and now it will rotate side to side. Is this normal? I'm thinking there should be no movement.

If my question or description isn't clear just let me know.

Main bearing are keyed along with thrust bearing. Sounds like cap wasnt fully seated and it spun the bearing in the cap. Remove it an make sure the keys are still in place and it didnt mar the crank. Hopefully you used assembly lube before installing the bearings.
