Question is... What can be used? Anything from any of this any good? What about the transmission, I'd like to build a 4r70w... Is there a reason why this one can't be used vs a 99-04 that everyone wants?

I'd like to have it for weight reasons over the 4r100 plus I'm thinking about mating a married np205 to it

The 97 4r70 uses a different trans harness and that will require you to build a frankenstein harness. I dont see a built 4r70 lasting behind the motor you have planned. I would go with a 4r100. It can be built to handle more than you'll throw at it.

Personally if it was me I would go with a JW ultrabell C6. Then accompany that with a Profab case. You'll have a damn near built proof setup to around 1500-1600hp.

If I were to get a JW id get it for a th400 and still might. But it would be more geared towards the Harley using it. (TT build)

I have the complete truck harness and computer, for a '97 f150 4r70w, would it's harness connect to a 99+ engine harness and computer?

I'm just curious, and would hate to get rid of it for scrap prices if it could actually be used.

Plus this trans would be for my B motor, something small like 800hp out of a boosted/sprayed 4.6 termi motor. More hp than tq...
