Default 4.56's gears and Truetracs finally installed !!

Just received my truck yesterday after waiting 3 weeks in the shop. Not because it took that long to do the work, but because parts were still coming in.

Its a 2001 Screw 4x4 5.4L. 33" mud tires on 20's. I was originally going to install 4.11's as I had read everywhere it was a good choice...boy am I glad I went with 4.56's and Truetracs for both front and rear differentials!

So for anyone undecided on what gears to go with I fully recommend 4.56's

Pros: Shaved a full second from 0-60, Can break tires loose from dead stop, Way more torque, Will put a smile on your face every time.

Cons: Bad fuel mileage on highway, High RPMS at highway speeds.

Here are some before and after Pics/Vids:

Interesting, I was going to go with 4:10s with either 305/70/17s or 305/55/20s later on but I'll have my supercharger on by then. Maybe I should rethink things

Yea, I'm really happy with the results. With how heavy these trucks are, those gears make it feel light on the gas.

I'm afraid MPG's will vary from user to user, as I tend to have a very heavy foot. I will try my best to give you some rough estimates.

Before the swap I was getting around 12-13 on the highway. So I can imagine I lost about 2mps.

I really don't care too much about mpgs at this point, since I knew what I was getting myself into from the beginning.
