Default 37s with 3.73s?

Would it be a bad idea to run 37s with the 3.73 gears? My plan is to size up to 37s but im not sure if itll cause me problems in the long run

Not a good idea, the truck will drive fine but it will be a turd. Youll probably get 9-10 mpg and your cutting the life of your rear end and tranny in half. Id regear to 4.56 or 4.88s depending on how much highway driving you do.

You really want to regear to 4.56s or 4.88s

I ran 37s and 4.56s for many many miles without any issues, was right at were it was stock. If you tow any or want a little more low end power go 4.88s. Bypassing the tranny lines going into the radiator and adding a cooler with a fan is always a good idea also. I ran 38s and 4.56s and towed a friends mustang on a steel car hauler and never seen tranny temps over 180.
