MOD. Doors unlock remote relay
My truck never came with a FOB for unlocking the doors. I don't know if it ever had the capability or not. I've never really cared until recently.
Anyway years ago the driver's side lock stated going. I'd have to wiggle wiggle wiggle the key for awhile before the she would unlock for me. Finally all the wiggling wouldn't cut it and I started unlocking the passenger side door to get in. After a while I had to start wiggling on that one also. Recently I had to wiggle wiggle wiggle for a good 3-4 minutes until the stars aligned and she let me in. Well finally I care.
After mulling over my options for all of 30 seconds I decided to buy a generic wireless relay and use that. Thought I'd share what I did.
I bought this After using it for 2-3 months on an unrelated project it seemed worthy so I installed it. It's been working perfectly.
Here's how I wired it.
Here's a pic before I tucked it into the door.

Interesting. Been thinking of doing this to my little commuter car. I need the whole ball of wax though.... as it is as stripped down of a car as they come. No power anything.
