Awesome, thats half the $$$ than the gears.... im assuming it changes the ignition
timing and shift points for the tires and things like that.. did it correct your speedometer and odometer?

If your truck is 4wd they do not make a reverse cut 3.90 for a 8.8. Go with 3.7's if you dont plan on going larger on tires. If you plan on going to 35's you may want to wait until then.

Ok so the tuner might be the way to go for now...
@Carcrazy: its a 2wd, my diff shop said they do have 3.90 they can put in it it just was never an oem option. i am definitely not going to 35's.

Gear ratio calculator
Here's my calculation from The Ranger Station Forum with my specs. Its suggesting 3.73 as the new ratio and 4.10 as the lowest to go with. 3.90= Happy Medium?

Thanks Rus, so with a 4.6 i would hope to see about 2 maybe even 3 mpg better so that might be a good choice. Did you have enough power with that setup? I know you have the 5.4 but it should be similar at least. Btw your truck is awesome.... 7700's are so cool.
