First time poster. Be gentle. Shock question...
Like it says, long time lurker, first time poster.
I have a question about shocks for the front of my truck. I have a 2000 Lariat 2 wheel drive with the 5.4 and I'm leaning towards getting a level kit installed (RCX coils, 1.5" longer). I'm wanting to do new shocks on the front at the same time and I've decided on Bilstein's. My question is, which shock should I put on since I'm adding 1.5" longer coils? I'm guessing that stock would be a 4600 for my truck year/model but I'm not sure which shock to order for leveled.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That small of a lift wouldn't have much impact on your shock choice. I have leveled every F150 I have ever owned and you can buy shocks for them from Pro Comp and Rancho that are designed for one inch lift. The standard shock will still work as well.

Thanks for the reply Texas.
I was just curious because I had seen other posts stating that the shock would over-extend unless you went with a slightly longer one.

I would go with the 5100 series shocks if you're really considering it. You can use the stock shocks if you really wanted to save money, as you're not going to maxing out the suspensions capacities over road bumps. I have the 5100 series on my f150, 7.5 inch lift in front, 3 inch in rear. I called Bilstein sales and tech department, and they had a custom shock that they sell just don't advertise that is for 2-4 inch lift in rear and 6-8 inch lift in front. Love the shocks! Hope this helps. Have had them on for about 2 years now.
