2wd front end parts list
I have been having some front end pops and squeaks lately that I need to address. I have recently replaced the front wheel bearings (inner and outer), tie-rod end links and tie rod bushings. Shocks were replaced not even 10,000 miles ago.
I plan on doing both upper and lower ball joints for sure, and am thinking about the inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides (the tie rods don't appear bad, but with 182,000 miles, I think it is time). I was thinking maybe the idler arm too, again, I don't think it is bad, but mileage is making me think it needs to be done.
Is there anything else I should look at replacing while doing this? Do I even need to worry about the steering linkage since steering is fine (no shimmy, drives straight, steering does not feel sloppy, no looseness noted when I grab and pull on them).
