Ok, so here's a quick version of a long story...

2001 reg cab, had remote start alarm put in a loooong time ago, roughly 2001, when i got it. Truck got flooded in 2002, but after a few days of drying and a month or so at the dealer, she was back and purring like a kitten. All has seemed fine, but a couple of years ago the auto start stopped working, but i didn't care. well, as of yesterday when i went to go start her up, i put in the key and all seemed normal until i turned it. All of my panel lit up, started blinking, then turned off. I had a clicking sound comming from the battery saver relay that doesnt stop until i put the key to the acc position. Then when i went under the hood, and wiggled the connector posts on the battery...SHE TURNED ON!! all by herself, NO KEY!! after that i tried to turn her off and nothin doin. I had to disconnect the fuel pump relay to finally get her to turn off.

Now, 1 day later, i go to turn her on a see where we stand...and the same happens, dash lights up, everything flashes, i have relay clicks, but after that...nothing. no attempts to turn, nothing. She goes dark and it looks like there's no power at all. Anyone have any ideas??

Sorry for the long post. I have had my truck since 2000 and don't want to get rid of it, but i am completely stumped on this one. Thanks in advance for any replies...

You have a faulty relay that is sticking in open and closed positions. I'm guessing one of the ignition relays, but sorry, I dont know where its located.

Your remote start not working is a seperate issue. Proabably fried the contol unit in the flood.
