Correct. Completely stock suspension other than a T Bar crank. I trimmed the inside corner of the rear flare. That was rubbing. Other than that the rear is good to go.

Can't find a lot of reviews on the RT. Doesn't seem like a lot of people comment much about them over all the other tires ive been looking at. I really like the cooper STT pros but I don't think I need a full mud tire.

Do the BF Goodrich All Terrain K02. It's a phenomenal tire.

I had several sets of bfg

Yeah they wear well. Hard rubber.
Turns lighter gray color, small chunks out of tread blocks
Superficial cracking on sidewall after couple yrs

Way, way overpriced

My current cooper at3s, are staying black, softer rubber, quieter ride. Tread stays better condition. Much less $. Only slightly less life , if any. Deeper tread than the new bfg too, it dont even look aggressive anymore

If you take care of the tire then you won't have any cracking. The gen 1 BFG KO's were bad but they've done a lot of improvement. Have you looked at the video of the KO vs the KO2?

I had the KO's or older version, - probably the worst tires I've experience so far. The KO2's didn't look much different. The tires had a good wear life (these were 35's) but terrible in the mud, snow and hated driving in the rain with them. Hydroplaned in the rain and wouldn't self clean in the soft sticky stuff. The tread pattern is what sucked IMO.

I'm liking the AT3's I have now.

your gonna have to school me on how to take care of a tire.

If you got to apply crap to your tire to prevent sun from oxidizing it too rapidly, its a POS.

Yeah, sometime back in the past BFG KO had tire failures due to cracking apart...they fixed that.
but mine still didnt age like you would expect a $300 tire to. Tread ended up looking ragged on edges with little spots broken out.
Nothing about them warranted the premium price...its all name. It was the first highly successful AT that made a name in offroad racing use back in late 80s .

the wide tread width and square shoulder looks good on a truck though.

the real killer for me...was the shallower tread depth on the KO2...and smaller diameter. it doesnt look like an aggressive tire even new with the 15/32 depth. Went from 17/32 and 32.8 to 15/32 and 32.7. they say they improved the compound for greater life and dont need as much.....right. I got 75K + on mine before..not good enough? LOL. . Truth is...they cut material out to make the tire cheaper to increase profits. It looks almost like the cheap store brand tires that have shallow tread depth now. Almost.

I suspect that tire life is actually reduced with the less tread. There was no need to "improve" it, it was outstanding.
