Default 255/65r18 on a stock 2wd.

Anyone running a tire of this size(with pics)? Used a tire calculator to get as close as I can to my current 245/75r16 while getting bigger wheels (18"). If this is not an ideal size what is the best tire sizing for a stock height 2wd?

How wide are your new wheels? You don't want too narrow of a tire.

Most of the 18" rims I like are anywhere from 8-8.5" wide. A 255 tire is just a hair over 10 inches wide so I would assume it should work fine as far as mounting. But I also don't want to trim anything or have rubbing issues, which is where I am hoping people with experience can tell me if this is a bad idea or not.

Unless the wheels have more than -12mm offset you will have no trouble at all.

I'm still sort of lost on the offset. Like I understand negative offset pushes the wheels out, and positive brings them inside the fenders. I was told the factory wheels are +14 offset. Alot of the rims I liked were between -6 and 10 in the offset. Will any of these options work?

Looking at something like this, it's actually an 18 x 9 but the tire should still mount fine.

Hoping this will work, and not have any "issues"

The more I think about it the more I want to implore you to pay attention to the tread width as well as the section width. Most websites will even state approved wheel widths for tires of various sizes.

Definitely post pictures when you do it. It should look great.

Man this is becoming a headache... find rims I like, but they are 9" wide. Tire rack and discount tire direct don't list rim sizes for their tires, and the only tire found that did for a 18" said 7-8.5" but don't see any options for a rim that narrow currently in a 18" size. Any suggestions? I am trying to get a bigger wheel/tire combo but I don't have the tools to reprogram my speedometer so trying to get a tire size that has the same overall dimensions.
