Replacing the whole thing takes about five minutes, and the new material will seal up better around the whole door.

P.S. The stuff you linked is for adhering weatherstrip to a surface, not repairing it.

You can try adding 3/16" silicone aquarium air line inside the body and "between the doors" seals to keep them from compressing quite so much (although you shouldn't need to with new seals). I did this on my '03's original wxstrip, and the doors seal up much better. I never had a problem with leaking, though, just wind noise.
