It didn't have the drivers side A pillar grab handle, wife not very tall. Got one from the junkyard and when I went to take the old plain one off, saw that there wasn't anything there for mounting the handle. I drilled the holes and put in nutzerts to mount it. But if the console requires mounts welded in that aren't there in non-console versions that I could put nutzerts into, I'm not welding in something that could mess up my roof paint. So, has anyone seen both console and non-console versions with the headliner off to tell me what kinda job it will be?
There is a bracket that mounts to the roof that the console screws/snaps on. I can't remember how the bracket it mounted but you'd have to cut the headliner for sure which isn't that big of deal. But wiring it up would suck.

One screw near the windshield. The. Two tabs in the back that just pop loose.

I know I had to re solder mine on the scab I had. I was saying the there has to be something mounted to the roof that provides tabs and a hole for the screw.

I guess the best thing to do is take my headliner down and see what is there. I don't want to take one off in the junkyard without a console for an example and see it has the mount, then get home and find out mine doesn't. Some of the material is pealing back a little, so it needs a glue job anyway.
I really should just clean this one up and sell it, then get one with all the options in it that I want. Took this one on the spur of the moment because I had 4 other cars broke down and needed something to get to work and to haul home engines in.
No power windows, no power mirrors, no power locks, no power seat, no tach, no 4X4, no V8, no long bed, was an extended cab but I wanted a crew. And, it is grandpa green, not the black I wanted either.

I have been wanting to do this for a while and just haven't had the time. I am hoping to tackle this this weekend, so I was wondering what is the best way to route the wires up to the overhead console?
