When yall push the switches does the whole door push up or is it stable because mine moves.

Mine is stable but that's because I left a lot of extra wire behind the switches so the compartment is pretty crowded with wires and doesn't allow any room to push up. I'd assume you could cut some cardboard and make a little square to not allow it to move or just cram an old washcloth or something to fill the compartment up. Just some ideas

I really like that idea. I didnt think about the switch wiring making it firm. When i painted mine I left the doors and the area around the temp gauge grey.

Yeah, the reason I painted mine black is because I'm following another users thread about Duplicolor's fabric paint and I am in the process of blacking out the interior of my truck. So far it looks pretty good.

That will definitely be unique. I feel like that would get pretty warm though.

I decided to hide everything. This was done years ago, but works great. Put some extra igniting in there to help with the cab lights.

I like the idea of the extra light in the console. is that an LED strip? Is it simply powered by splicing into the dome lights? What does it look like at night when it's on?

How is the console attached to the roof? I don't have one and would like to get one from the junkyard, but if I have to do tons of work to just put in any supports it needs to mount it, then I think I will skip it. It didn't have the drivers side A pillar grab handle, wife not very tall. Got one from the junkyard and when I went to take the old plain one off, saw that there wasn't anything there for mounting the handle. I drilled the holes and put in nutzerts to mount it. But if the console requires mounts welded in that aren't there in non-console versions that I could put nutzerts into, I'm not welding in something that could mess up my roof paint. So, has anyone seen both console and non-console versions with the headliner off to tell me what kinda job it will be?
