Cardone used to reman Ford Cvs and I never had a problem with them. However, the last time I order one through them I had to send it back because it they decided to stop using Ford remans at that time.

Cardone still remano Ford units. But it now has become supplier requested. So only certain vendor carry them. I just did 2 today on a friend's truck and they were ordered out of Atlanta from Napa. Just have to find the right vendor. They also cost extra. The remains cost more than a new axle.

I did not know that. I actually went to their website and sent them an email asking if they still remanufactured them and if they do to please tell me how to order one so hopefully they will get back to me. The cheap interpart unit I got from them pops and knocks terribly.

Not sure how you reman them.

You can replace bearings on the tripod, but must to have new tulips.

Only thing can reuse is axle and tripod spider. Hardly high tech parts, if quality steel is used.

Unless they somehow install oversize bearings and re-machine tulip, leaving weaker cv joint...... I would hope that not case.

Outer joint- goes without saying....inner and outer race, cage, *****, all need to be replaced. Nothing left but shafts to reuse.

At least on toyota i had, the tripods would bind and shatter in the tulips if exceeded max angles. Cv failed only due to torn boots, etc
