Default 2003 F150 inexpensive intake mod/cone filter

Hey, I'm new to these forums, but I do have a question. I recently purchased a 2003 F150 XLT FX4 5.4 v8, and I'm looking for mods that will make it louder. I love the sound of the engine, and I'm curious how I can make it louder in and outside of the cab, yes, in the cab as well. I've got a limited budget, and I've decided to spend the bulk of it on a Summit Racing Catback exhaust system. I'm also looking to buy a cold air intake, or a cone/pod filter that I can attach on somehow. My question is how can I fabricate my own intake tubing to which I can connect my cone filter, and still have it fit on with the MAF sensor. if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them

Search "Gotts mod". You'll find all you need to know.

Thanks, so Gott's increases noise too? I did read about it but I didn't think it would.

Are you aware that noise is energy thats being lost to surroundings?

Yep. A well tuned quiet exhaust can be more powerful than a straight pipe.

Pull the insulation and sound deadening out from your floor and headliner.

Get an intake tube from spectre or the like, mount to factory air box, and do gotts mod to the fender wall. Throw in a filter of your choice and you will have some decent intake sound.

Do what BMW does on the I8 and have fake engine noises come through the speakers.

find a muffler shop and have them cut out the monster stock muffler. Weld in a straight pipe, should sound pretty good.

electric hybrids have been deemed a safety risk at low speed when they run on electric, ( silent) so they are all being required to make fake engine noises.
