Default 2003 F-150 Sport, 4.7 liter, (standard) Strange rattling sound

So while driving home from work today, when I would accelerate in gears 2-5, it would start rattling, sounds like it comes from the drivers side somewhere. When I let off the gas, it stops rattling, but then as soon as I try to accelerate it starts rattling again! Checked the oil, and it’s fine, just don’t know what else to look for....

Check the transmission fluid. These M5R2's are prone to leak themselves dry. They leak from the tower down at the front where the 3 plugs are set in.

Does it make any noise when idling in neutral and clutch out? How about with the clutch in sitting still? Any noise? Does it make any noise at any other times, if so tell us when and doing what.

It does not do it during idle, or with the clutch pressed in, just when accelerating after the clutch is disengaged!

I can’t find where the dipstick for the transmission fluid is, it’s a manual. Any suggestions?

Did you ever get this figured out? My f150 is doing the same thing.
