2003 clicking noise

When I did change them I looked up the spec and a lot of people said don't follow the spec and don't put anti seize on them I talked to a ford mechanic he said said just crank them with a ratchet and I'll be fine

I think they're supposed to be at 28 ft lbs but Idk for sure cause I just used the ratchet method lol

I'm a tech at our local ford dealer and that's the method all of us in the shop use, we just crank them down nice and tight. None have came back with a blow out. My best guess would say leaking manifolds.

Second the exhaust manifold. I just changed mine on passenger side. When the noise started up it didn't sound like I thought an exhaust leak should sound like. Maybe I was hearing the exhaust valves. Anyway I got in the wheel well and my manifold have a hole rusted right in it. Manifold changed, sound gone.
