Default 2003 5.4 No cruise control no horn

Hello all,

I’ve have a 2003 5.4 and my cruise control and horn are not working. Previous searching on this forum led me to believe the issues are related.

So far I have removed and replaced the clock spring, replaced the harness and the solenoid that connects to the brake fluid reservoir, and replaced both fuses for the cruise control and horn. None was successful, and the cruise control and horn still don’t work.

Anyone else with this issue have any success fixing it? Thanks in advance.

Sooo.. what about the relay ? Unless the 03's don't use one. Previous models do.

First things first.... does your truck have the cruise control recall done? Get under the hood and look for the switch/connector on the master cylinder. Unplug that and see if you have brake fluid present in the connection. If you do.... DO NOT DRIVE it. You need to replace that switch, and get the recall harness.

Thanks for the responses. I did change out the relays and I have had the cruise control recall completed on the truck. Any other suggestions out there?

Replace the sending unit on the master cylinder......It may be leaking.
