Charcoal canister
Hello everyone,
I own a 1997 f150 4.2 v6. I pulled the bed off today to descale rust from frame and then paint. I noticed that the metal tubes going form the charcoal canisters to the tank, and up to engine bay are extremly rusty. Just wondering has ever seen this on there truck and if so what they did to fix it. They are to the point that if I try to clean them up they will probably break.
I was wondering if I could just replace the entire system with rubber tubing?
Any feedbeck is appreciated.

You can switch them, I have used rubber line to repair metal fuel lines. They make rubber hose that is designed for use with fuel, just make sure that you buy that and not heater hose or just vaccum hose. An auto parts store will know the difference.
