2002 5.4l misfire help
I changed my intake manifold and now it's misfiring. The code is p0352 I changed all the spark plugs with motorcraft. And got new accel coils on there. I would greatly appreciate any help! 😫

I'd reinstall your good coils. The accel's are cheap china knock-offs and don't have spec build magnets and hardly any thermal protection. Should of came here before wasting your money. Yea, just throw a good one on there. When you purchase cheap coils like that, chances you'll also get a dead one right out of the box. Other than that, the truck may run on them, but it won't run as well it should.

Totally agree on the Accel coils being crap on our setups. Motorcraft or bust. lol

X3 on ditching the Chinese coils. The modular engines in these trucks don't like it when you go cheap on ignition components.

I took it to the dealership to they said that cylinder 1 is out. Not sure why but they would charge me 1,300.00 to tear into the engine. I told them no thanks and took it home. I figured I could buy a used engine for that price. So I researched the net and found a video on a earlier f150 model where the guy tapped the valves that where seized. So I took the vavle cover off and found the rocker over cylinder 1 below the crossover leak sitting on the bottom. I put it back on. But It felt loose and I thought If I put this all back together it would just pop off again. I then sprayed wd40 into the valve and rotated the crank a couple times and then rocker felt solid. So I put everything back together and it was smooth, no misfire anymore. I think when the coolant was leaking into the clyinder and somehow seized the valve and the rocker popped off thankfully. It runs good now.

Yep, loosing a rocker will cause it misfire for sure. It happens, just a little less common. A compression test would have hinted to it. Good job, thanks for posting the resolve.
