Default 2001 F150 Supercrew Door Lock Actuators

I have looked through this site and could not find any help on the door lock actuators for my truck. Has anyone changed them out and if so, what brand did you use. Having trouble locating part numbers for the supercrew. Looking at doing all of them, but need driver side now. Need help.

Thanks.

I've used the stuff from eBay and never had one go bad. I just bought 2 new, 19.00 units and they work perfectly.

This is a very easy swap, but it is tight inside our doors. Just look at the new actuator and you will see how easy it is to install into the door.

Here are some listings. Good luck.

Id say just about everyone has changed at least one, or has one that doesnt work.

Its tight and dark inside the door, and can take an hr of cursing to finally get it in.

Dont start the job at 5 pm.

I just fixed mine, 1999 ext cab. There was no bolts for me just slide a flat head screw driver through the lock mechanism and push it back then I was able to work it out. It sounded dumb but I did the "foil trick" found on YouTube and it freaking worked. I tried just cleaning everything but the motor was still weak and not working but I re did it and added the foil and it freaking works like new. I can't explain it but it worked. Paid nothing.

I'll second this. My foil fix lasted me 6 months. Only problem was I could get the damn thing to go back together. Ended up buying new ones off amazon. @ OP: Couldn't find the brand but here's a screenshot of the one I used. There's a part # on there so u can find it

Yeah getting it back together is hard but I just used really small screws from 99cent store and screwed it back together. Wasn't bad

I used epoxy, zip ties, screws, and duct tape lol. I put the motor in backwards, sealed it, and realized it too late. For a couple months each side would do the opposite of the other. I'd press lock and the passenger would unlock while the driver locked. What a PITA that was

Yep. Mine lasted a year before had to do again. It's not worth it to do foil, just replace it for 25_30$. I wrapped mine tightly in electrical tape to put back together. Worked great.
